Mission Statement
The Religious Advisors Association exists to assist campus ministers and religious leaders in their ministry to the University community. It also seeks to promote understanding and fellowship among the members themselves in order that they might contribute more significantly to the whole educational process at Michigan State University.
History
In the mid-1940s Dr. Tom King, Dean of the Office for Student Affairs, invited campus ministers to an informal discussion at a luncheon in the Student Union. The initial invitation grew into monthly gatherings of ministries with members of the College’s Administration. As enrollment grew, the Religious Advisors Association developed as a more formal organization with officers - President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer – and rules for membership. The Association continues to function in cooperation with the Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs.

President Pastor Curt serves as the Lead Pastor at Martin Luther Chapel . He has been a member of the RAA since 2013.
Treasurer Pastor Dave serves as the College/Young Adult Pastor at New Hope Church. He has been a member of the RAA since 2008.
Secretary Ali serves as the Engagement Associate at MSU Hillel. She has been a member of the RAA since 2022.
Campus Interfaith Council Advisor Bridgette serves as the Jewish Student Life Coordinator for MSU Hillel & HCAM. She has been a member of the RAA since 2022.
